Manufacturer Breakdown
New to collecting? Here is a quick field guide based on the brands featured in my personal showroom.
Collector Favorite
Toy Network
A legendary brand in the Sonic plush community! These are highly sought after by collectors and are getting harder to find.
- Look For: Distinct stringy details, classic early-2000s proportions, and unique tush tags.
- Collector Note: I have two of these iconic Sonics arriving next Tuesday!
High Quality
GE Animation (Great Eastern)
GE Animation is famous for making highly detailed, accurate plushies aimed directly at anime and gaming collectors.
- Look For: Incredibly accurate faces, high-quality fabric, and sometimes internal wires for poseability.
- Collector Note: Check out my wired Modern Sonic and upcoming Modern Knuckles to see their work.
Amusement / Arcade
Toy Factory
These plushies are usually made for amusement parks, claw machines, and arcade prizes. They come in massive variety of sizes!
- Look For: Screen-printed details, soft material, and strings on top of their heads for hanging in arcade machines.
- Collector Note: I feature both a giant version and a smaller Sonic & Tails duo from this brand.
Unofficial
Bootleg / Fan-Made Sets
Bootlegs are unofficial plushies not licensed by SEGA. While they aren't official merch, they often look incredibly funny, unique, or weird.
- Look For: Off-model colors, funny stitched faces, and unusual character combinations sold together online.
- Collector Note: A lot of collectors love them because they add unmatched personality to a display shelf!
